The Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Agiste to the position of Chief Investment Officer effective August 22^nd 2023.

In this role, Mr. Agiste’s responsibility will be to co-ordinate, oversee, and operationalize all new initiatives set forth by the Board or MD in the areas of investment, corporate banking, and wealth management, and contribute to the expansion and achievement of the Bank’s strategic goals and initiatives. This will include responsibility for developing business plans, budgets, setting performance objectives, evaluating, and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintenance of the Bank’s standards.

He brings over 20 years’ experience within the Banking, Finance, Accounting and Investments sectors, recently holding the position of Chief Financial Officer (Acting) at 1^st National Bank St. Lucia from April 2023, having previously performed in this capacity on a number of occasions over the last two years.

Mr. Agiste joined the Bank in August 2020 as Finance Manager, with responsibility for the Bank’s investment portfolio. Prior to this, he was the Operations Manager at the First Citizens Investment Services St. Lucia office, part of the Team offering brokerage and investment services throughout the Eastern Caribbean. He was also a Registered Representative, licensed by the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies.

As part of the Bank’s strategic plan, a Wealth Management division will be implemented in quarter 4, 2023 which will be headed by Mr. Agiste.
